I know there have been many posts lately regarding black spot disease and worms. The January/February 2006 issue of the Conservation Volunteer has a great story about different fish parasites.

Great post. Thanks! I have to agree, there's a lot of really good info in the mag. I believe that it was last year they're central topic in one addition was MN ice fishing contests. Tons of info and fun reading, too.

If you're not already a subscriber, I highly recommend subscribing to this mag. NO ADS! It's supported soley by you, the readers contributions. One thing that I learned accedently is that if you subscribe and stay a MN resident, you get the mag for life. I kept putting off the donation, but the mag kept coming. When I gave a gift subscription this Christmas, I asked them when I'd receive my last copy. They told me exactly what I mentioned above. Needless to say, I gave them another donation

For a bare minimum of $20, you can get this mag for life! It's money well spent in my opinion, whether you have kids or not.
