walleyedan
I'm sure a number of you have seen or heard about the SnoBear. I am now offering guided fishing trips out of the Bear. It is an amazing machine that is decked to the hilt with electronics and many other goodies. I have taken a number of trips with it already, but I would like to get the word out a little more about how unique the experience is. I had a group out from Texas last week that had so much fun, we sold them on the area for next summer as well. I will take groups of 3 for a half day trip, doing the morning "bite" and the evening "bite". Call or email to book this winter. Hopper
I saw one of those machines at the Game Fair. They were awesome. Can you drive them on the Highway, or do you have to trailer them to the ice?
walleyedan
Hopper,Legally no highway use! I keep it at a private residence on Gull, but the trailer is ready to rock if we want to fish elsewhere. Walleyedan
Roamer
Sales Rep. at Game Fair was inrforming interested parties that it would be liscensed in MN as a snomobile. Therefore all snomobile laws would apply.
walleyedan
I would say that is correct. We have it licensed as a snomobile and a fish house.Dan
kooba
Walleyedan, aren't those machines pretty expensive for us average fisherman? Do you have connections with a dealer? I saw one of those up on LOW over Christmas break, the guy was a dealer rep and was trying it out. They would be fun to drive on a poker run around central minnesota. Would be nice and warm. The Crumpler
I can attest to the might of the SnoBear! Walleyedan took us on the maiden voyage on N Long just before X-mas. Not only is it a comfortable, warm, fish catching machine, it is a real head turner. Think of it as a portable permanent shack. When you are ready to move, it raises off the ice hydraulically and away you go to your next waypoint. Couldn't be easier. A great option for kids and any reluctant spouses as well.Do yourself a favor and book a trip soon, as I am sure they will fill up fast.
walleyedan
Kooba,Pretty spendy for your average fisherman, yes. But I'm not your average fisherman!! J/K!! For someone like me that is in the business it works out very well, think of it as my winter boat. I work with the people at Nisswa Marine, they are one of the only SnoBear dealers in the world. Great people to work with and great products. Walleyedan
walleyedan
Hi Crumpler,Thanks for the testamonial. Are you still outfishing everyone? You are so right, it seems to be the perfect fit for Dad and Son/Daughter or Mom and Son/Daughter. I'm glad I posted, I just booked a trip not to long ago. I have been out with it quite a few times since our North Long trip and you should see how decked out it is now. Thanks,Walleyedan
doser
Dan,Do these things have floating capabilities? We were just discussing this thing over the weekend and someone told me they thought they floated too if they broke through.
Sergeant Slabber
doser- You can go to snobearind.com and watch a video of this thing in use. It's really sweet, and it does state that it floats.

Norsky
I've seen that those machines run around $30,000. That could buy alot of toys!

Jeff S
I saw one of these on Mille Lacs this past weekend. Pretty cool! It makes me wonder how much maintainence could be involved and what would happen if one were to ever get stuck in deep slush.Something I'll have to put on my list should I win the powerball! walleyedan
Norsky,You don't need any toys for the rest of your life once you have a SnoBear. It's been really nice this year with the marginal ice to have a machine like this that has its weight distributed so evenly. Bracket, loaded with what? Beer? Yes, it's suppose to float!! And Mark, can't wait to get you and your family out. Full moon, could be good!! S.S., Hello!!Walleyedan

walleyedan
Hi Ryan,It would be perfect for the ladies that can't quite see why we get so into ice fishing. This will ease them into it and they might end up going on every trip, so make sure you're carefull. I sent you an email, but I'll let you know here as well. Half day rates are 375.00.Hope it's a go,Walleyedan
kooba
Wow, pretty spendy for a half of day. I guess you have to pay for that toy one way or another.

Ybone
I wouldn't worry about anyone getting free advertising. Anyone can advertise, you pay for it one way or another. I think it would be a lot easier to pay for it with cash than be a moderator.
