hitthebricks
Just bought a MX5 and thought I would top off the battery charge before I tried it for the first time, but the charging meter will not budge above 70%. Whats up? HTB
0 cybermuskie
I just bought the LX3 Thurs. Mine said 100% out of the box...so I used it all day fishing yesterday. I hooked it up last night and it's still only flashing 90. This does seem like it's taking a long time. I know it's a trickle charge at the end, but like HTB said does it really take that long? It's been about 20 hrs.
0 Roberto
Hey, I have been using the LX-5 and in the past I used the LX-3's charger (they are the same) and have not had any problems. However at work i did receive a few calls saying that the chargers would stall out at like 60 or 70 percent. sometimes kicking the charger back into gear with an aquavu charger direct to the battery or a vex charger fixes that. However, if you don’t have extra chargers that isn’t going to help you.It seems that the digital indicator that the charger runs through is allowing battery output so it displays how good the battery is, but it isn’t allowing input into the battery. I would contact marcum about it.Much like deep cycle batteries when they are on the charger it could say 100 percent but as soon as you take it off it drops to 90, that isn’t too uncommon, but your problem with the LX-5 seems to be a 1 in 10 problem, but I’m sure markum will send ya a new one. 0 Surface Tension
Try unplugging the transformer and then disconnect the DCS from the battery for a minute. Then reconnect everything and give it a go. I really don't pay that much attention to what the readout is, my main concern is that the DCS stops charging when the battery is topped off. 0 cybermuskie
I did what ST suggested and unhooked the DCS and plugged it in. It started blinking back at 60, but within a minute it said 100 and quit charging! Thanks guys!
0 hitthebricks
I'll give that a try and see if it helps. Thanks HTB
