Planning on buying a new reel for bass fishing. All I have used in the past are my Abu 5500 & 5600s am looking to add a low profile reel to my arsenal.

Just wondering what you guys think are the best for the money and performance.

Which ones will cast ligher lures the best?

In my opinion, the best as far as quality and $ go is an older (green) Shimano Curado SF. You can find them on sale now since the new ones came out. The Team Daiwa Advantage reels are super nice for the price. And you cant go wrong with Magforce-Z. Im a Daiwa man myself, so Im biased towards them. If money isnt an issue, look into the Calais, Chronarch's, TD-Z, Fuego's.

Take a good look at the Abu 2005 LP. This is a nice reel at a great price. It has five Ball bearings and a 6:3-1 gear ratio. I got one last year for my son, used it myself a couple of times (with permission of course, I tend to bend reel handles on the hook set), and liked it so much, I got one for myself.
