pout-pounder
I'm thinking of getting a 7x14 fish house on wheels. The lake I want to put it on does not get plowed. Will I be able to move this with a Polars 425 4 wheeler? The lake is small and I shouldn't have to move it more than a mile.
fishing tech
Get yourself a set of tire chains and a plow and you should be able to put the house where ever you want.
Dave S
If you're pulling with a Sportsman 400 (it has a 425 motor in models year '04 and before) watch the tongue weight while towing. I see guys over-loading their tongue by several hundred pounds and eventually blow out the CV joints in their IRS.You could eventually bend an axle if you have a machine with a SRA (Solid Rear Axle).Another critical point is to make sure the machine is in low range.Tire chains are a must. I see guys who put them on both the front and rear of the machine. Most don't. You'll wear out the front differential faster with the increased stress/traction, but I would personally have them on all 4 corners.
pout-pounder
Whoops meant to say polaris expedition 425 (manual trans). Thanks for the warning I've noticed anything near 100# on the tongue seems to be alot for the machine.
