I have a wood jig stick i got when i was a kid with a spring bobber on it and 4# clear triline...(and of course my trustee fl8) I have other rods and reels I use for jigging walleyes...but believe it our not I catch a ton of panfish off that jig stick. It's funny, you see less and less people using jig sticks....when that's all anyone used years ago. Ice fishing has changed.

FL... I did not think that anyone would fess up to using one of them other than me. I figured everyone else has all that fancy schmancee stuff. I have one that is older than heck and there is not a thing wore out on it! Maybe because there is nothing to wear out?! Just good old fashion fishin' with that set up... I also have some of the Fleet Farm clearance twenty dollar combo ice rod n reels and they also seem to work fine. Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

St. Croix Legend UL & Light rods with the provided spring bobber setup. I have a tica cetus ss500 on both with 2# vanish on both.

I also like my Berkley ICE Lightning Rod/Reel combo in the 28" UL model for the crappie. I have 4# Micro Ice on that but I think next time I replace that line it will be Vanish or P Line Florice.

FL-18 for marking those suspended fish and a Structure on a String (SOS) weed bed for holding wondering fish. If I feel like playing around, I put the VS 560 down the hole.

Of all this dump, I'd say a flasher and spring bobber are the more important in that respective order.
