Ice fishing gear storage

I just can't do the bucket anymore!!!!

Lines getting snapped and everything getting soaked....I need something else.

Any suggestions?

I need to haul five rod/reel combos, three small tip-ups, a medium sized "snap-shut" tackle box, a large ice scoop, and a few "tools of the trade".

What do you guys think I could buy to help organize and get rid of the bucket!?!? confused.gif

Look at the ReadyRig backback. It should handle all the things you are talking about, it has slots for your rods and should have room for everything else you mentioned as well as keeping it organized...I have a couple friends that have them and they are pretty sweet. I just have the rod holder and that alone holds 3 rods and all the tackle I need.

Must be the new math...

Sounds like you may need a small sled/tub as well. I had a little one from Fleet Farm that hauled all the rods and reels and "tools of the trade" very nicely. Only set me back about 15 bucks as I recall. I have a Yukon now if I ever get some time off to go out and check it out! Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

Stopped by Fishig Tackle Outlet. They had the Stone Legacy and the JR's bag. Went with the JR's bag. Really friendly and helpful people there! grin.gif

I fit every peice of equipment from my 5 gal bucket in the bag with 5 rod/reels and 3 tip-ups. I guess you could say that I fit about 7 gallons of equipment in it. wink.gif

I use the JR bag then I also went to Thorne Bros. and got some of those mesh "socks" that go over the rod. No more tangles or dinged up guides from the other rods and that bag fits behind the seat in my Toyota until I get to the lake then I just throw it over my shoulder when I walk out. Works slick.
