LX-5 and FL8 in same portable???

This may have already been covered, and if so, I'm sorry to post it again, but thinking hard on getting the LX-5 this year and wondering if there is any issue with interference with an FL8 in the same portable?? Really love my FL8, but thinking I'm missing a lot of advances in technology as mine is about 6 years old, plus I could use 2 locators so fishing partners have something to see (they can use the FL8, I get the new one).

Hi Dean, I use two units together all the time. It works out great. You just need to adjust the IR button on each unit until you eliminate the interference. Feel free to buy one of those great new Marcums.

have to remember the FL-8 does not have a IR button, used Fl-18 and LX-5 together the 18 did have a few problems but got it to work with a little ajustment.

My fl-8 had the IR which I just sold so I bought an lx-5.

Fished all day today with the LX-3 and FL-8. No problem, the only IR that had to be hit was the LX-3. My FL-8 does have IR but it was not needed.
