I finally got to use my new Lx3 last Friday. Quite the upgrade from the Clearwater Classic 2EL. I fished from 10-13 feet deep and used the zoom a lot. The non-zoom performance was similar to other flashers. The 5-foot zoom window gave a little better separation. The 10-foot zoom window was great. I think the 10-foot zoom window is very, very similar to the fine line on the Lx5. The line for my jig and the line for the fish were thinner and crisper. I suggest the Lx3 owners try the 10-foot zoom window if you are not using it now. It definitely gives the best performance for the unit.
