LX 2 vs. LX 3tc

I'm haveing trouble finding an LX 3tc. Does anyone have an LX 2? and what do you think about it? They are readily available and are $100.00 cheaper.

I'm also looking for info on the Lx2.

Is it new for this year? or has last years model been upgraded to include- improved color and clearity/interference reduction and a switchable zoom window? (5 to 10 ft)

Anyone with some info on this model?

The LX-3 was upgraded to the LX-3tc. This year's LX-2 is last years LX-3. Hope that makes sense.

This year's LX-2 also gets the updated shuttle, where there's a nice pocket for the transducer.

I hate to disagree with you Dave but this years LX-2 is not last years Lx-3 lad. This years LX-2 has the zoom but its in the bottom 5 ft or 10 feet and last years Lx-3 is an adjustable , moveableble, expandable zoom which you can put ANYWHERE in the water column . The LX-2 is just on bottom 5 or 10 feet of water as opposed to the LX-3,LX-3tc or LX-5 which you can move anywhere in the water column and can make it larger the deeper of water your fishing in . The LX-5 even does fine line separation through out the whole water column which is the same as zoom and target definition and separation of less than an inch at all times anywhere in the water column .

The question should be is the LX-5 Tech warranted or needed after the LX-3 or LX-3tc . Thats a tough call and it will be the dual beam that sells me if I decide to step up not the fineline but it sure must be sweet for those that stepped up already .

Dirk the LX-5 with the 8 deg. and superfineline is about as close to a camera as your gonna get! It's freaking awesome. I hope you have a very Merry Christnas my friend...

Merry Christmas to you and yours too Tim and you would have to tell me that about the LX-5 fineline and 8 degree cone wouldn't you . Now I'll just have to have me one them too won't I . LOL
