Big-Al
I have a question for all you ATV experts. What do you considor high miles on a 4x4 (Honda in particular, but others also). I'm looking at a few used machines and wondered. Is 1,000 to 1,500 per year high or normal for a trail machine?
jltimm
I would say that is about normal.I plow, trail ride, hunt, ice fish,ect... with mine and put on around 1000 miles a year. That's just me though.
Macgyver55
Are you looking at a specific model? The Foreman and Ranchers are very reliable quads. I usually average around 2000 and as much as 2400 a year on my Honda 450. When I sold my 1999 Foreman it had just over 4900 miles on it. My current '02 is approaching 5000 miles and I have yet to replace a driveline part. Unless it has been abused or heavily used for mudding, they have extremely durable drivelines. Big-Al
Thanks for the responses. I'm looking at an '03 Rancher with 4,000 miles on it, but it seems clean and tight. Seems like lots of use, but no sign of abuse.
