Finlander
I have a Lund 1775 Pro-V with a 150 Johnson.I am going to mount my 9.9 Johnson on the boat and would like to hook up a gas line from the main tank rather than having a portable sitting in the rear.Any suggestions? 0 ChuckN
If your 9.9 is a 2 stroke, you have to use the can unless you have oil injection somehow. If the kicker is a 4-stroke:3 way shut off valve spiced into the main gas line to the main motor. That's what what I did. Any boat dealer can find this part in their big parts catalog. 0 Finlander
Purchased a new 3 gallon tank and fittings.Put in oil and gas, took the hose and stuck a small nail so I could pump out the old gas from the hose. The old gas in the hose was brown in color and looked pretty varnished.Hooked it up too the motor, gave it a few pumps, then pulled out the choke and after 10 or so pulls it started and ran like a top.No sputtering, just purring like a cat! This will definetly be cheaper to troll with rather then the 150!
