Auger paint is chipping

My five year old Jiffy 30 is starting to show its age as the paint is starting to chip on the edges of the auger. What would you guys use to touch those areas up to prevent future rust and corrosion from forming?

clean auger and sand trouble areas lightly, removing all rust. then paint with a oil based spray paint.

I just sprayed mine with rust-oleum high gloss black paint a couple of years ago. It still looks pretty good.
