Question

I just bought this color gps system and am looking forward to using it. What type of success have others had with this unit especially user friendly (or not) comments. Also, the manual seems to prefer hooking it directly to the starting battery to avoid "noise" what do you all think?

thanks for any input

i wired it directly to the battery and just unplug the power cable from the back of the unit when i get done. make sure to wire the network cable to battery also or you will wonder why your gps isn't working

Love the color and detail. Turned off the sounds and alarms very quickly as the sound is annoying.

Facinating seeing the bottom structure with a unit like this.

I hooked mine up (LMS-330C graph/gps) to the power from my fuse box the old locator was hooked up to!
And the fuse panel power comes from the starting battery!
Don't hook it up to your trolling motor battery or you will have electrical interference for sure!
Good Luck!

Carlcmc,
What color wire went where as far as hooking up the network wire to the battery. What did you do with the white external speaker wire in the power supply cord.?

thanks

The white external speaker wire is for hooking up an external speaker away from your gps incase you are not near it!
So tape it so it does'nt short out to anything as the manual says.
