tomfromblaine
how do you guys store or mount your augers on your flip overs I don't have an atv "yet" so it has to go in the sled it will either be a otter or a voyager, any info may help me choose which shack. Paul Waldowski
Tom,A couple of eye bolts bolted through the sled and a couple of bungee cords and you're good to go
loebs93
I just throw a couple of bungee cords over the top and attach the hooks to opposite ends of the sled. I also run the cords around the auger shaft one time to keep it from sliding. Very simple method
LOTWKIng
Pretty much what those guys said. As far as shack, I had the same delema last year. I chose the FishTrap yukon for the fact that it came with the seats and holding trays. Your gonna need a hi fax runner kit though for when you do start pullin it behind the quad. Good Luck
tomfromblaine
Ok, that sounds like a plan I probably won't have much for sled modifications so I guess I'll have to figure out how/where to place the eye bolts.
FishingwithJake
Tom, if you are comfortable spending a little more money GET AN OTTER! The deeper sled is nice and the construction is unbeatable.
crappace
LOTWKIng Why do you say you will NEED a hyfax kit when the sled is pulled behind a wheeler??
Hotspotter
Tom:Just got an otter and love the thing. One plus to it with all of your gear is the deep sleed with high sides. It shouldn't be a problem, esp. with bungees, and/or a travel cover, but the deeper sides will keep the auger more stabilized.Joel
MNmikew
I have an Otter Lodge and its great! I can cram everything and then some in it and the travel cover keeps it all in. No problems fitting the auger inside with everything else. I pulled mine behind a wheeler all last season it it's starting to show wear on bottom runners. Hyfax kit for me this year.
