Does the Lowrance H2O float?

One final question about the H20. I know it is waterproof, but does it float? Thanks.

I haven't tried it , but I read somewhere that if you use the new Lithium batteries, which are lighter, it will float.

in the instruction book lowrance says it does float with litium batteries

I only ask because my buddy has an older Lowrance handheld gps and he dropped it in Mille Lacs a couple years ago. Tears almost sprayed out of him, but all of a sudden, there it was, floating right next to the boat.

That paragraph is straight from my owners manual.
