Snow Ducks

I finally got a chance to get out and takes some pics today. It was snowing pretty hard so didn't expect much. Found a few ducks that didn't mind being photographed.It's hard to get greenheads to pop without some good light but was nice to be out in some fresh snow.

The creek was full of mallards but very hard to sneak up on. I tried to sneak in on these loafing on a log in the creek......would have been a nice pic but they spotted me and swam off.

Mmmmmm, nice. The tight shot of the head/neck and the final wider-angle shot speak to me the most. Not about bright color at all. These pics say: Darrrrrrrn, I'm cold! Why didn't I head to St. Louis?
