crappieflop1212
So who's got it? I know I do. When I check the 10 day forcast 5 times a day, that's a pretty good sign the ice fever has got a hold of me. Looks like we are in for a short cold stretch. It's a start. toughguy
I hear ya. By the time buck fever is cured, or subsides, ice fever replaces it it immediately. I find myself sticking my head in the freezer to remember what it's like. I've got my auger running, new iceline on, and the portable all ready to go. Now all I need is the ice. Orty I found my first ice this morning in a slough/ditch along Hwy 55 in Plymouth! I almost took the ditch while cranking my head around and looking at mmy first ice of the season. Ah, snow...ice...I think winter just might be my favorite season after all.
DaveyG
I've got the fever. And the forecast for the next week looks really good for ice building. Maybe I'll go home after work today and do the ancient ice making dance for good luck.
hoggs222
I've got it. For the past month, I've been trying to figure out what I want to add to the fish house. I can't stop thinking of ice fishing. I seriously think that this time of year seems to take the longest to pass by. No boat, no fish house, arrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhh. JoeTC
I got it real bad this morning when I went out duck hunting at we couldn't break the ice in the slough. It was at least 2 inches thick. Even the bigger lakes are almost locked up where we went. All the ducks were sitting on top of the ice just waiting to head out.
hoggs222
Where were you duck hunting? 2" of ice? I'm even more excited now.
JoeTC
I was 30 miles west of Fargo. I thought we'd be able to break the ice but stomping up and down I could only get some cracks in it. It was a shallow slough but I know some of the lakes we hunted real late last year when everything else was froze up are almost completely locked up now. Its currently 7 degrees with 3 mph winds here in fargo. Hopefully I can get out on some small sheltered lakes over thanksgiving.
Matt Johnson
I've got the fever real bad! I would want nothing more than to wake up tomorrow morning to see walkable ice on my favorite first ice hot spot. Put it this way, you wouldn't hear from me until about 10pm tomorrow night Bring on the ice!!
