WINTER IS HERE !

Winter has finally arrived in Devils Lake and hopefully this time to stay. We have about an inch of snow on the ground and more snow and cold weather is in the forecast for the week. Highs are expected to be in the high 20s and lows in the low teens for the start of the week. Snow geese are still in the area but I would expect this cold weather will push them out soon. Ice fishing season is wright around the corner!

Great to hear Jeff! Keep us posted on ice conditions as the come available. I know Hanson is looking to get to DL for some flag fishin, hopefully I can make the trip as well!

As much as I am ready for ice it just can't come to DL yet even though it is trying hard outside right now. To much work left to be done here this year yet before winter.

was surprised to see sakakawea partially frozen over on friday while deer hunting... but, we have had mild temps the last couple days with up to a quarter inch of rain, all the snow disappeared, as well as the ice that was on sak. will still be a while, but it doesn't take much for small lakes next to canada!
