How was your season?

First season deerhunting and with a bow. Took a nice fat doe on Columbus Day back in October and arrowed a little one opening morning of gun season earlier this month. I am already planning for next year's season. Needless to say, I'm hooked.

5 hunters took 8 does. My dad missed a pig. Also saw many little bucks which we let walk. The rut was not very intense at all. Left one tag open for late season bow hunting. The deer were moving pretty decent with a few slow days mixed in. We were selective in our hunt and saw over 50 deer durring gun season. We hunt area 154. I'd rate the season as excellent!

We hunt in area 221 and went 8 for 8 including three nice bucks. We let quite a few small bucks walk so we are already excited about next years hunt.

That looks like an awfully big deer, what did that think weigh? He's a dandy, nice job.

Bigbucks, I have a big buck scale from Cabela's but we broke it weighing another deer so I didn't get to weigh mine. I am standing a little behind the deer so it does look bigger than it actually was. Oh, dump, did I say that out loud? I'm not trying to trick anyone with the photo, it just came out that way.

We also went 2 for 7 in the same area. zone 2 246, although we did see 14 all together. I want after the 12 pointer I saw on the way up on cty rd 6 right at 10 mile lake in the 30 mph zone.HUGE DEER

I cant figure out where the bullet hole is? but it looks like a big deer, nice rack too. good job!
