Steve Foss
Here we go again, another clear day in the 50s up here in God's country. Was out all yesterday afternoon(same weather) and didn't see a single deer moving, nor did I hear shots from the parties I passed on the way in. Ah well, on the bright side, we just got Monday's doe processed and in the freezer. Would be nice to see the weather go in the freezer, too. Seems to be not much rutting activity, and not seeing the numbers of deer on the roads that normally run around when the rut is peaking. I'll be out again this afternoon, wondering why I'm not fishing instead — and trying not to get a sunburn. One way or another, it sure beats working. USPENAMC
I belive its getting better starting saturday with a few scattered flurries and then cooling down sunday and during the week should be pretty exciting if you ask me. It might just be enough to drive the deer crazy....with love.....
Steve Foss
Yup, up here we're looking at nice clear skies tomorrow (yikes, make that today!) in the morning, then deteriorating to rain/snow Saturday afternoon and snow Saturday night and Sunday morning. Not to mention east and then northwest winds. Golly, finally sounds like deer season. Better get to bed, it's getting late, and things are changing for the better.
