first ice,whats the first lure,jig that your going to try on 1st ice

mine would be a red hook,3ft leader on a tip up with a shiner,green glo demon on st croix ice rod for jigging

I usually start out with a Go-Devil or an Angel Eye on my jigging pole, and a plain hook and minnow on my dead stick.

after last winter, hands down, red genz bug....ran into a deal at Kmart in La Crosse last march, picked up 10 packs of them for 89 cents a pack....grab some cheapo rods for $1.19.....snagged rapala's for 1.25....Now all I need is ICE and time.......

I like to team up on them... I'll have 2 rods rigged.. one with a Orange and Yellow GoDevil spoon by Scenic Tackle.. the other I will have a Marmooska rigged! Look out pannies!

If I'm targeting panfish, I'm going with a FISKA! Otherwise I'll throw down an Angel Eye or GoDevil for walleye fishing.

For me I know I will most likely be chasing jumbo perch and walleye on Winnie so it will be a Glow Perch Go Devil Jigging spoon on one rod and most likely an Angel Eye on the other. If I am not on fish or at least seeing fish in the first few minutes it is time to move on to another location.
