Bobby Bass
After seeing temps hit 55 here yesterday and 60 on the way for today I am working on a note to leave the wife. She is working the day shift today and I should be on the water by the time she returns home. I was to be roofing the big shed today as the last time it was nice out I went fishing. Guess if I start a few courses I can say the nailer broke and I can't find my hammer. My big problem is where to go..Have 4 lakes in mind, all different. #1 small 180 filled with stumps and several small coves. #2 400 acres one big reed bank and lots of homes, docks are all up. #3 500 acres round lake several small bays, heavy weed growth and #4 400 acres, sandy beach, a few docks more wind swept then the other 3. Hmmmmmm Will let you know which I choose. Have to get out and pound a few nails to make it look good before I can get away. Like I told my son last night. FOOT
Bobby, hope you got out OK and your wife believed your excuse.I use the Vertigo technique. Years ago I was on a ladder and slipped off right in from of my wife. Hit the ground hard but it was in the spring and pretty soft. She was concerned and asked what happened. I told her it was a touch of vertigo and I needed to lie down for a little while until it passed, Vikings were playing anyway. It worked, she even brought me a sandwich and a beer. After the game I had to go back to cleaning the eves but what the heck it had to be done anyway. From then on if there was something the wife told me to get done and it was off the ground, here came the vertigo. Bobby Bass
Well I left the wife a note and came home to find a note from her that she went shopping with a hammer on top of it... Went to the small lake 1 northern and one bass both about 2 pounds. I told myself if I caught 3 I would be happy. Caught 2 and lost another one. Should have said 10.. Nice day but windy. Seems every nice fall day this year has to have some wind with it.. Lots of deer out moving around at dusk 21 I counted in a 10 mile stretch before I started to get on the main road. Guess fall is really here..
Eric Wettschreck
BB, just tell the Mrs that's a framing hammer not a roofing hammer.
Bobby Bass
Well I figured with rain and 40mph winds on there way I had better fix the nailer ( put nails in it ) and get that shed roof done. Still have the boat ready to go out but I think it is time to put the cover on. Was hoping for that one last nice day but I think I better use it on the honey do this or else list.
