Navionics HotMaps

Cliff Wagenbach

Question

Does anyone out there know if there is a more accurate mmc chip out there that will fit my Lowrance 3200 then the Navionics HotMap mmc? I am mainly interested in the Lake Vermilion map.
The one I have only shows 5' increments at it's best and misses a lot of structure.
Thanks guys!
Cliff

Look at the Lakemaster/Reelbottom maps. Navionics makes an MMC for those also and I am sure that the Reelbottom map is much more accurate than the Hotspot map. The Reelbottom is based on actual depth mapping of the full lake. Just like they did for Mille Lacs a few years back.

They go for $199 though, so are pricey.

I picked up the Pro Map series this winter. On the 55 lakes that have the detailed depth maps, its really impressive. It helped us get on fish this winter during the ICE Series.Matter of fact if we could have weighed our catch we would have picked up a few trophies. smile.gif Too bad I was one of the weigh masters!!

Hi Cliff,
Lake Vermilion is on Dennis's ProMaps. It's the CD ROM version though.

It's just not available on mmc.

Top of the line current on the lake mapping of Lake Vermilion is available on everything else at:

http://Minnesota-lake-maps.com

If you have a Garmin, be sure to check out the Garmin ProMaps.

Just click on the ProMap link.

Cliff,

The map of Lake Vermilion on the Promap Series is simply awesome and deadly accurate, but like Rick said it is not currently available on a chip. frown.gif

The only way to get around it is to carry the laptop in the boat smile.gif

Cliff,
it's not ReelBottom anymore, it's ProMap Series.

You can see it at:
http://Minnesota-lake-maps.com

We're talking extremely accurate maps here.
Unfortunately, Lake Vermilion is not currently included in a Navionics MMC card.
