ESPN/ABC Commentators?

Now that NBC/TNT will be done in 2006 (thank goodness for that!), who would YOU like to see as the three commentators in the booth for ESPN/ABC??? (Or, have they made those selections already?)

Shot in the dark here, but Dr Jerry will be back, but unsure if he would want to be in the booth. I might think if Rusty wallace was offered a position and would do it, he might do pretty well...he does a fair job when he has been in the booth for busch racing here and there... I do think Bill weber will probably come back...he has done fine...much better than Alan was in that position. Benny could go back to the pits...he was much better there. Bill or Bob Jenkins (don't remember first name...) would be great to have back.

It's Bob Jenkins and he does call a good race. They absolutely need Jerry Punch back too. I think though that a lot of the guys from NBC will get jobs at ESPN just like when Fox bought the NFL coverage a lot of the on air talent when over there. ESPN has some of its own, but I bet at least a few of the pit road guys move to ESPN from NBC. Benny needs to retire!

I'd like to put in a plug for Eli Gold too, just for old school sake!!!

OOh...I'd like him back as well. Once in a while he calls a race on MRN. Classic voice!!

O.K...so..we have Bob Jenkins, Eli Gold, Dr Jerry.

What about Weber? Back to the pits?
