Pantherburn
Anyone have any hints on preparing pheasant in this manner? Any and all responses appreciated.
Eric Wettschreck
I take a couple of breasts, Cream of something soup (Hey, it's a Minnesota tradition), cut up onions and slow cook em all day. Not the greatest recepie in the world, but I think it's awful tasty. Put it all together in the crock pot when I take off for work in the morning, ready to go when I get home. BLACKJACK
I just did a crockpot of pheasants this weekend, same as Boiler guy, pheasant, cream of soup, onion, also added carrots, celery, and potatoes. Don't add water!!! The soup and natural juices are enough.
phishandpheasant
A good one that I make is to put the pheasant in a bag and use Durkee Italian Marinade. Let it sit over night or during the morning in the bag. Throw it in the crockpot for 3 hours or so on high and you will have tasty pheasant. (You can also just pour Italian dressing in until you have enough to make a good marinade instead of the Durkee)

phishandpheasant
Not a crockpot recipe, but another great pheasant recipe is to mix a small amount of oil with lemon pepper seasoning. Dip you pheasant in this mix to get a good coating. 15-20 minutes on the grill and you can impress even the most finicky eaters !!!!!!!!!!

Fishook
This is one we really enjoy at our place:1) Trim meat off pheasant2) Roll in flour and brown in fry pan3) Mix 1/2 BBQ sauce (Cookies is an Iowa favorite) and 1/2 water with one Tblsp. of Grape Jelly. Stir and add to crock pot so the pheasant is covered.4) Cook 2-3 hours until doneGive it a try; I think you will like it.
so haaad
Try the cream of something soup, with a 1/2 pack of lipton onion soup mix, and wild rice. Throw in other veggies if you want, but not too early.
