icehousebob
When I head away from home for a few days days of ice fishing, I have my cell phone and lantern plugged into my truck's charging system. Is there any attachment I can buy to charge my spare flasher battery in my truck rather than bring a 110 volt charger to plug into the motel or other indoor systems? Ed Carlson
While it is best to keep the batteries warm while charging in a pinch a re-tooled cell phone charger or a like charger can do a maintance charge on a Vex/Marc cell. As with any charger, overcharging is the death of a cell so avoid that at all cost.
Walterwontfalter
You can get a inverter to plug into your ciggarette lighter in your truck and then plug your 110v charger into that and it will charge your battery safely. The inverters cost anywhere from 10 bucks to several thousand dollars. The one you need will fortunately cost about 10 to 20 dollars.
Bob Horn
I use what Walter uses. You can plug it in at lunch time or when ever you take a break. It`s good to see "Mc Gyver" Ed Carlson again. He always has a way to fix something. I hope to see you on the Red this winter. I have been wanting to come out that way for 4 yrs. now.
icehousebob
Thanks, guys. I always carry a spare battery, but sometimes I'm away from home longer than two will last and it would be nice to charge them on the go like my other stuff. I have three outlets in my truck and its a shame to see one empty.

wolfwood
I saw a chargerin a ice fishing magazine last year that plugs into your cigaret lighter it looks like a cellphone charger on the one end and has the aligator clips on the other. I am not 100 % shure but if your battery is 12v you might just be able to use your car jumper cables or somthing similar like smaller wire conected to each battery
