wiring battery on canoe...

cyang1

Question

i often fish by myself in my canoe. i have a trolling motor mounted to the back of the canoe, i put the battery back there, and i sit back there as well. now there's no weight in the front at all. how would i go about putting the battery in the front of the canoe so there could be some weight distribution- what cables i'd need to get/ from where can i get it?

thanks if you can help!

Try putting the battery in a milk crate up front. Then run jumper cables to the back. Zip tie them along the side. Make sure you tape up the connections though.

I've been doing it that way and it really works nice. Good Luck!

Whoops V., sorry!

I'm kind of a king cobbler and it works for me. But if I knew you had them I sure would have got something like that from ya. Possibly a better box for the battery too. Instead of a milk crate.
