What a weekend

Started off @ 11:45 Thursday night, first 2 cast's yielded 2 18" walleyes. Than at exactly 12:05 I caught a 30" walleye. Friday I ended up with a wood duck, and later on 4 walleyes 18-21". Saturday I shot a bluebill, widgeon, blue wing teal and a huge mature drake black duck. Sunday yielded 2 blue wing teal a hen mallard and a 14lb goose. All in all a spendy trip, $300 for the walleye mount and $175 for the Black duck.

Sounds like an awesome weekend. Nothing like a blast and cast weekend. Last night I was fishing down on the Mississippi for walleyes, watching all the mallards fly around. Right before I left I hooked into something big, it picked up my jig and white twister tail just off a major current break. I am thinking it was a huge walleye, I fought him for a little while but he got into the strong current and was gone. But that is what keeps me hooked, not knowing how big of a walleye(which I assume it was) she actually was. Best time of the year to catch a monster! Now with the weekend coming up its time to concentrate on all those mallards I saw.
