converting an outboard pontoon to an inboard?

I have got a 1990 26' Palm beach we have had multiple poblems with the out board we have on the toon. My dad ran across an old inboard mercruiser Is there anyway to mount this on the pontoon without causing monster problems in the MONSTER GARAGE has anyone seen this done?

The fabrication involved would be staggering but not impossible.

You'll need motor mounts and a transom of some sort sandwiched in between the engine and drive.

Which brings up the question, do you have a drive and the rams for tilt?

In the end buying or fixing an outboard would probably cheaper and less brain damage.
