Ice fishing snowmobile

I am looking for a good snowmobile for ice fishing and would like some opinions.I am looking for something light weight that would fit in the back of a 8' pickup. Stable and not tippy. Low end torque for pulling with good traction. Something young drivers could operate. Someone used to make a workhorse sled that trappers used but I cant remember the Brand/model. No ATV's! I want to focus on snowmobiles only please.Thanks

One thing to keep in mind is how the motor is cooled. We have a 2 up indy trail that is fan cooled so it does not depend on snow to keep the motor cooled. I can run it on bare ice and not worry about over heating. Our liquid cooled machines are a different story and depend on the track kicking snow up on a heat exchanger to cool the motor...

i know someone who has a late 1970s Yamaha Exciter that might fit the bill. it is fan cooled, and it wouldnt set you back much...let me know if interested.

Most trappers here run the Skidoo made Skandic or the Skidoo Tundra . There are still a few Yamaha Bravo's as well but Tundras are the most common that we use to fish and trap with .
