gspman
I have a penchant for knocking over my drink in my portable (Polar Sport Nordic 2 person). Is there a manufacturer that makes cup holders that can be attached to the vertical pole in a sled style portable?

dockehr
gspman, go to a hardware store or one of the big box places (Fleet Farm, HomeDepot, Menards, etc) and buy a couple of the small heavy duty plastic clamps. There is a flat surface that you should be able to screw your cup holder into. Be sure to use a drill or drill press to do this as it may involve drilling thru some metal within the plastic. I attach broom handle holders to these and clamp them to my pole to keep my extra ice rods out of harm's way. When you're ready to leave just unclamp the cup holder and put it away for another day/night. Hope this helps.dockehrDr. Roland E. dockehr
BAD option Matt! Picture yourself on a hot perch or cpappie bite. Your're lifting those 12" perch or 13" crappies for a good look and they're dripping into your cup of steaming coffee. Ugh! And that, gspman, is why you should look into my option or any option that keeps your cup out of the fish zone!!! Enjoy yourselves.dockehrDr. Roland E. gvg_uwec
If your on the hot perch bite you wont have time for coffee anyway In my frabil it has the cupholders in the seats very similar to the otter seat Matt mentioned and it works great for me. Animal
I bought one of those Plano bouy holders for three bouys. I cut it in half and used my grinder to grind down the excess plastic and ended up with two single holders. I attached one on each end on the inside of my Otter Magnum sled. The bouy holder holds a 16 to 20 oz insulated coffee cup and the handle fits in the slot. Bottles and cans fit just fine and are easy to get out. I use the same set up in my boat. I got the idea when I kept knocking over my coffee cup in the front of the boat. I started pulling a bouy out of one of the slots and putting the cup in it. No more spills. TroutAngler
I started a thread about this a few days ago. I was looking for something that clamps on to the tube. I found one that is manufactured by Kasswins. It fits on a golf cart, fishing shanty, stroller, just about anything as it has three different mounting applications. They are about 10-15 bucks a pop, depending on where you get them. Apparently they are sold at gander and other stores, although I have yet to see any in stock anywhere. Someone that responded to my previous thread said that Otter made some that velcro on to the tubing. I have yet to find any.
Green&Gold
Both Otter and Polar Sport make them. They attach to the side poles of your flip-style house. I know Marine General sells them in Duluth. If you mount them at the right height and use a straw you can enjoy your favorite beverage hands-free! Just be careful, drinks tend to go down pretty quick when all you have to do is turn your head and take a sip!!!!

TroutAngler
Maybe one of those hats that hold 2 cans of beer with the straw would be better. That way, one could be in contstant contact with said beer when venturing out of the shack to take care of business.
