Down to Earth
Well it was nice to see MN and UW pull off big wins at home last weekend. Both teams are still undefeated and both play undefeated teams as well this week. MN @ PSU and UW at home v. Indiana. Should be some good matchups. Also this week, Michigan State plays Michigan I believe. Could Michigan lose 3 in a row? Gotta love football season.
Down to Earth
Well MSU lost a close on to Michigan and Minnesota tanked against PSU on the road. Thankfuly the Badgers pulled off the victory to remain undefeated. At least one team in Wisconsin can win. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of a typical Minnesota year. Beat the non conference teams early, crack the top 25, and then tank it on in from there. How does Mason keep his job?
fishyguy
Mason hangs on to his job because of low expectations. The U had been so bad for so long everyone is afraid that we might just go back to it if he left. I for one would rather stink but keep trying to reach the top than get stagnant in mediocrity which is where Mason's teams seem to be. Maturi has been holding off on Glen's long term contract. Maybe he will have the guts to make a move.
muskybuck
Mason has done a great job with the Gophers. The only thing he does wrong in my estimation, is try to out coach the other coach in the last few minutes to preserve his lead. If he would just let the players play the same game they have played all game long they would go places. That prevent defense is real good at preventing a win for the Gophers. I would like think that he has come up with that conclusion also but I doubt it.
