Gettin em back in?

Just wondering if anyone has run into the problem of a station getting hit and then all of a sudden - poof no more bears hitting the station. This is on private land and none of the surrounding landowners have anyone hunting their land so I don't think it's a case of someone else disrupting them. We weren't able to get up there for a bit and that probably caused them to look elsewhere, but we really expected some renewed action.

Did our first bacon burn this last weekend and after a slight modification to the height over the flame it seemed to be working well (made my mouth water sitting and smelling it). Wind wasn't super favorable but wasn't bad either.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for newbies to bear hunting to respark our station (only one going).

If nothing else, smelling that bacon made the lobo burgers down the street taste like a fillet. nummm. Cold ones probably helped there too.

p.s. I've had a number of grouse make me look the fool, but friday I found the world's smartest ever "thunder king". Gonna stock up like I'm preparing for nuclear fallout cause I think the thing's about 10 IQ pts from having a legitimate shot at world domination (after chasing that lil SOB around for 30-40 minutes he may already be there ... invasion of the whackety whack grouse - come at you like those raptors on Jurasic Park IV or XV or whatever) If it's allowed to breed we may have a real problem...

Take grease and molasis (sp?) and whatever else you have in liquid form and spread it in the trees. I mean just throw it into the leaves and as high as you can. Get that area smelling to beat all.
