Outboard verification

Does anyone know if there Is a HSOforum that you can enter in the model number and S/N of a outboard to tell what the year and hp. is?

Sometimes the last 2 numbers of the serial number is the year. Another way to check would be to call any dealer and they could de-code it for you.

They're in the yellow pages under outboard motors. They'll be able to tell you.
