Cooter
Was out last night briefly before the storm rolled in - I thought conditions were great but no action. Haven't been out much other than that but the general reports are muskie fishins been slow the last week or two. Any one doing better(other than Jon with his red dump)? ZOKU
Talked to one of the guy's at Cabin Fever today in Victoria... the bite has been really slow on Waconia, I guess. I haven't been out there myself... but supposedly, there's a lull in the action.
jerk bait
Shamalex,Were you fishing weedlines or rocks on Mille Lacs? I have'nt been out there for a month or so just wondering what areas fish might be in.We caght alot of nice fish out there this time last year. This year has been very slow for me so far.Last year in Sept. green cabbage was the key but i've heard the rocks heat up in the fall. Any insight? Cooter
Sounds like you guys are having some good action. I'm thinking now with bowhunting going I'll wait for the muskies until Oct. Good luck all. Can't wait til Jon reads this post
Jim Hudson
Cooter.. Jon and I fished Mille Lacs on Wed night and all day Thurs... And let me tell you, we about pulled our hair out trying to find fish. We moved three fish in about 18 hours of hard fishing for these critters. Conditions were down right horrible. All in all it was a good trip, and at least I did see a big fish, and got to fish with a great guy named Jonny P!! Thanks again for the trip Jon!!! We really gave it a good run, but oh well thats fishing... Oh, and red didnt work!!! hehehehe
shamalex72
Most of the fish we saw were in or near the weeds. Tried the east side rocks for a while and only saw two there, but they were both nice.
Random guy
Cooter, nobody likes a smart arse Red failed me big time,so did every other color, shape, size, speed, depth, zones. It was bad, way bad. I stopped through on the way back home and hit the East side for a couple of hours, seen two fish and caught a decent pike. Wind was still kicking hard. Cooter
Yep, you're right Jon, so can you forgive me and guide me on the Big Pond next year? I promise to bring lots of RED in my box. I can trade for deer or turkeys or walleyes or little WI muskies. Or BIG catfish. Or Leinenkugels galore! Glad you have a sense of humor - good luck fishin, I'll show you some Wissota muskies in another couple weeks.
