Handheld GPS or sonar/glogal map or plotter?

Question

I would like info on a GPS unit for my boat is there a unit out there that is decently priced that you can either buy chips for or download to for around $500.00. I would mainly use it on Mille lacs, possibly LOW and superior or Michigan on a rare occassion. Any info/recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I personally Like the Garmin GPSMAP 76SC. It has about every additional feature you could imagine. Like barrometer, prime fish and hunt time charts, tides, high resolution color screen, and a ton of memory for downloading maps, but thats just my $0.02. A lot of people are probably gonna recommend the Lowrance H2O. I you wanna spend $500, though, I would go with the Garmin I mentioned above. You can get a H2O for right around $220.
