Who's getting pumped

With deer opener just 10 days away is anyone as pumped up as I am? This will be the first year hunting my new land.A ton of sigh out there. I got 2 stand up and one portable blind so its not going to matter what way the wind is blowing. I will be out there bright and early Sat morning.

Normally this is the time of year I check everything twice and make sure to get in extra pratice. But this year I am bear hunting so I have already done all the prep. work and have been in the woods and will be for a few more weeks before I either declare success or failure on the bears and turn to deer.

I'm definitely getting pretty psyched up now. Two of the last three nights I was up in a high permanent stand on my place that I don't hunt much, shooting into targets at different ranges. It's good practice & feels a lot more like the real thing. When I was out there the first time I decided the stand needed a few nails, so I did the repairs & gave it another go round.

I've trimmed around 5 permanents so far & hung two portables, as well as picked another tree for my climber. I'm hoping to hang another portable this weekend after I hear back from the landowner to verify I still have permission there.
