Outdoors_guy
Well Koren Robinson signed a 2 year deal with the vikes. Hopefully he is all cleaned up because he will do very well with our recievers. Get rid of Campbell and we have 5 solid recievers. Pretty much every reciever is a 1 or 2 on any other team. Down to Earth
Is the plan for them to release Campbell then? I believe they'll will have to release some one to stay at the roster limit.

eyehunter
I haven't heard the official word yet on who will get cut, just that it will be Howry or Campbell. Most likely it will be Campbell. And just when you thought that the Vikes were done with signings for the year.....GREAT PICK UP, I think.
Willy
Maybe so, but the big deal around the Vikings this year is supposed to be their chemistry. You hear Tice and the big boys talk about it all the time. Why would they bring in a guy that has the backround that this guy has? If they wanted a receiver with baggage, they just traded the best one to ever play the game. Now they go out and do this, just doesn't make much sense to me, even though I think he is a good receiver.
buzzsaw
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Wide receiver Koren Robinson agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday. To make room at a crowded position, the Vikings waived wide receiver Kelly Campbell.Chosen with the ninth overall pick in the 2001 draft by Seattle, the 25-year-old Robinson never performed up to his ability with the Seahawks and was released in June after he was charged with drunken driving. That was the latest in a series of off-the-field troubles for Robinson, who checked himself into a 28-day alcohol rehabilitation program last month.Robinson's best season was in 2002, when he caught 78 passes for 1,240 yards and five touchdowns."Obviously he's had some issues in the past. Of course we looked into everything, and it's something we're comfortable with," vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski said. "In this business, you win games with playmakers, and he's a great player."The league said Robinson will be eligible immediately and not subject to any suspension under the league's substance abuse policy. The Vikings now have three receivers with a 1,000-yard season to their credit in Robinson, top target Nate Burleson and Marcus Robinson. Two others were top-10 draft picks, rookie Troy Williamson (No. 7 overall) and Travis Taylor (No. 10 overall in 2000, with Baltimore).Minnesota will work out an injury settlement with Campbell, who was hampered by a strained quadriceps muscle throughout the preseason.
