Minnkota autopilot 4WD trolling motor

We got the motor used with our boat and used it several times last fall and this spring with no problems. Now it doesnt work at all.. It does have a wireless foot control. I believe it says to turn the unit on before the foot control. Curious if anyone knows if they were turned on in the wrong order, could it be the cause of the problem?

It would be very much appreciated if anyone who has the manual and could tell me possibly how to fix the problem.

I have the same setup but have always turned the power on before the foot control; so, I can't tell you if that's your problem.

But, if you did not power up in the correct sequence, I would think turning everything off and powering up in the correct sequence would solve the problem, IF that was the problem.

We didnt get the manual when we bought it. But I think the guy we bought from said he turned it on in the wrong order once and he had to reprogram it.

I can't see what there would be to reprogram. You did change the batteries in the remote foot control, right?

Yep, fresh batteries. I dont know about the reprograming, I just thought I heard something along those lines.

Make sure there's no corrosion on the battery terminals. Other than that, I think you'll have to call Minnkota.

Check your fuse, I had the same problem. I called Minn Kota and they advised me to check the fuse link and sure enough it was blown, They also said that most come with a 40 amp fuse but that it was ok to move up to a 50 amp without any problem. May or may not be your problem but it was something I overlooked. Bill
