Been fishing docks with worms and weedlines with Husky Jerks, with marginal success this year, but this doesnt seem to be producing any big fish any more. Just wondering what everybodys been using lately.

-I dont regard nature as a spectator sport.

Last two wweks have been using 1/4 blue and white spinner with 4" pearl white Gulp trailer. Triple blade buzz bait green and white with 4" pearl Gulp trailer. Frog pattern smithwick devilhorse. Using the spinner and buzz as search lures and if I miss the hit I drop the devilhorse and let her twitch. Been buzzing the reed beds which up here have fallen down in the last week. Northerns are hungry and getting bigger! only fishing during the week when no one else is on the lakes try and put myself in prime water when the sun is just setting down the last 5-6 times out have produced some nice Bass and Northerns..

In order of prefernce

1. Senko- Don't know if the color makes a big difference as I believe the small horizontal fall causes the strike and the imprgenated salt makes them hold on. That being said Rootbeer, pumkin with black green speck, baby bass, watermellon red green speck top the list. I got a few other colors I must try but keep finding myself going back to these. I prefer 4 or 5"

2. Tubes- cray, motoroil, watermellon top the charts

3. Crank baits/Spinner bait- Pick your poison. I use these to cover water but most action by far is on the senko and tubes for smallmouth and largemouth. You will get the occassional pike and walleye as well

4. Simple jig and crawler will usually produce as well.

5. Scum frog

6. Dont forget a mepps spinner- Gold or Silver blade have produced

Latley I've been using jigs and tubes in pads that are in 3-5 FOW. Also have found some deeper (10-15 FOW) using a mojo/split shot rig - don't know what its really called. I have been using a lizard or senko on the end of that rig. These techniques have been used all in the metro area.
