I don't understand how you can be breaking sights like that? confused.gif If you are that hard on your equipment that things are breaking how can you expect your equipment to perform for you in the field? Need to keep sights sighted in! Knocking stuff around doesn't help with that! I have a sidewinder by Cobra and have absolutly no problems with it. If you just broke a fiber pin, they do sell replacements for about $10 if I recall. And if you have broken two this quickly, I'm sorry but I have to blame the operator. Cobra makes a quality product.

That was exactly the reason I did not purchase the sidewinder sight, the fiber optics are too exposed. If you do any stalking through the woods, there is a good chance you will snag one and break it. Otherwise, the sight is fantastic. I went with a true glow sight that has the fiber optics completely protected. Just my opinion!

I think you would have to hit something pretty darn hard (hard enough that I can't imagine hitting my bow on something that hard) to break the cover over the fiber and damage the fiber. Maybe I'm just not tough enough on my equipment.

yes i hate admitting that it was my fault for breaking them. the cobra bantam sight simply cracked but the cobra was indeed snagged on a twig when i picked it up breaking thefiber cable just outside the gaurd before it hooks to the pin. i was looking at cobra viper sights. any body have any experience with this model?
