cmoredrakes
I really need some input on this. I saw this FA Eliminator at Gander Mountain for $130. I was gonna ask if i should buy it or save my money and wait for a higher quality blind like the Avery blinds. {this is urgant 'cause there is only 2 weeks left to the season!} thanks,
Nova
I really like the Avery finisher, but you have to sit/lay in them both and see which fits you best. I haven't seen the quality of the Eliminator, but I do know that FA makes a good blind.
Rost
Get in there and buy it. I just bought one last weekend. According to the sales guy, Avery and Final Approach blinds are like Ford and Chevy. Both very nice blinds.
Quackaddict9
if its $130 get one thats a great deal! by the way where was that located?
huntnfish
$130 is a great deal. I just sold my finisher and bought an x-lander. The only thing that I didn't like about the eliminator when I looked at it was that it didn't fold up, so it wouldn't fit inside my Blazer. Other than that they seem like a very comfortable and well built blind.
cmoredrakes
Quackaddict9, the Gander Mountain was located in Fridley. It's not very convienient for where u are . But' i heard there was a new gander opening in your area. Maybe the sale goes with all gander mountains'. Good luck oh, yeah, Thanks for all the input guys!!! I appreciate it, now i gotta arrange a ride with my dad .
Quackaddict9
cmore- Heck I would have someone pick me one up in Fridley, Ive got some friends with in 30 mins of that area. Yeah we have a Gander Mtn. here in Bemidji but it shucks this year, not alot waterfowl stuff put out like last year , not alot blinds to choose from, I picked up a Khaki Finisher at Cableas last weekend. cmoredrakes
Quackaddict9, Hey, man go for it!! If you can get one now, their sale only lasts like a few more days. It's the best deal i've seen on a FA in years. If and when you're down here, they have Foiles calls, buck gardner, and echo and pretty much every call in the front of the store on sale. FA flocked head goose decoys are on sale, too. hope you can fins somethin' you like. Good luck!! . {Better get there before I do ;lol}

David Frank
I also saw this deal and was very impressed at a first glance. I did a little research on it and here's what I came up with. This blind is not something that Final Approach normally makes. It is specific only to Gander Mtn. stores for whatever reason. I e-mailed the people at Final Approach and they got back to me today. Here is the e-mail:DavidIt is just like the Sports Utility Blind except it folds into a backpack, itdoes not have a full frame, it only has the headrest frame in it, it has thestubble straps. This is a special make for Gander Mountain only. That is whyyou do not see it anywhere else. If you have any further questions pleaselet me know.Thank youDonna MeierCustomer ServiceI don't know what type of hunting you do, but if you pack in, this might be a good option. It does not have the normal support bars that most of the top dollar blinds do and I heard that at times the stubble does not stay in it as well as say the legacy or pro hunter due to the lack of support and the added movement of the blind material (I've heard that it is similar to laying in a sleeping bag). I hunt out of an Avery Finisher and even though i have not hunted out of the blind you are talking about, I would say go with something of higher quality like the Avery Finisher.Dave Frank
cmoredrakes
thanks for all the tips guys. but, i just got a Wildfowler layout blind. i had my sights set on the elimanator, but my dad took me to a guy who had these for about $150 a piece and my brother and i each got one. I really like this one, it is comfy and there is slots an dstuff to put grass and a hole for flagging. It sits a little higher than the FA, but overall it is a good quality blind. thanks alot though guys for the input and tips, i appreciate that .
