Question

Do you work on boat motors? I sucked up some mud on the river this last weekend and it doesn't seem to be peeing as much as before. I saw some mud actually go out the weep hole on the top with the water. Where I purchased the boat is really backed up and I looking for a place to take it. Wondering if maybe the mud damaged the pump or impellor. Should I try running some cleaner water through the motor to see what happens first?

How old was impeller ? Try to run some clean water and/or blow some air through hole. But check temperature on heads to see if it gets hot (be careful.....it a running motor).

I don't work on boats or motor at all, I just do it on what I have here and it's mine. It's a tough time of thr year now.

Valv, thanks for the reply. I tried running clean water through it. That seemed to work pretty good. I had a steady stream pouring out like normal. Question though, after I shut the motor off water continued to come out of the weep hole for about 20-30 seconds? I don't remember if it did that before. Is that normal? It did that monday when I shut the motor off too.
