Anylakeanytime
Was buzzing around the internet and found this interesting list of fish that young children (<15 years old) and pregnant/breastfeeding women are not supposed to eat. I found the list to be very interesting and something that I was unaware of (especially the list of fish that they are suggested not to eat any of). Be sure to click on the "see excpetions" link. It is a nice link that spells out all Minnesota lakes... what fish and what sizes are recommended for limited/no intake. Thank God I am not a young child, pregnant, or breastfeeding http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/eh/fish/eating/safeeating.html Ben
pikerliker
Great post Anylake! This is some good information. Some of it I knew and some I didn't. This is good to spread around. I'm sure a lot of people exceed these limits! It's too bad that our environment is polluted enough that we have to worry about this. Maybe someday I can say to my grandkids "I remember when we had to worry about how much fish we ate...". One can only dream right? ~piker
The Grebe
If you catch a really fat Carp with one little eye, and part of it's tail missing, don't eat it! Also, no fish with extra parts!
Anylakeanytime
Hey Grebe, Does a huge Perch with 2 nasty lemmings attached to it count as "Extra Parts"? Thought it was worth a try, and am still living!
