Transmission power line?

Anyone know where I can get some info on the Arrowhead-Western transmission power line thats going to go from Wausaw to Duluth. I take it its a huge dangerous line going threw peoples yards. Any info would help. Thanks

I did some research and theres two things I learned. One is we need the line, I understand that. The other one is I don't want my 3 small children living and playing near it. Its to bad they need to stick poles in peoples yards.

Hey Guys

I work in the electric industry and there is no doubt WI needs the line. I talked to our engineers on the issue and they said to keep electricity reliable and affordable it needs to get done. We do a lot of work for the co-ops throughout the state, and I believe that it has been 20 years since any sort of transmission lines have been built. There has been quite a bit of growth and need for electricity in that time. No doubt it will be an eyesore and have other possible effects, but if people want the lights to stay on they should try and find a compromise.

The compromise is the key. Whenever huge projects like this come up, it almost always turns into NIMBY. People will agree that it is a necessary evil, but they want it built "somewhere else" and Not In My Back Yard.

My aunt and uncle have a high power transmission line within 100 feet of their home.

He has cancer.

She has cancer.

And they will tell you theres no connection between high powered lines and cancer. Yea Right! You should see the homes for sale here where the line is going in.
