Bass SURE like them Senkos....

Funny thing happened today.. really shows just how much bass like Senkos!

I had a nice sized bass on the line.. as I pulled him in.. *poof* he was gone... I realized I had lost my hook and lure. I kicked myself when I found that the knot had come undone.. (always retie your knots occasionally!)... so I tied on another hook.. put on an identical Senko.. and continued fishing again.

WHAM! Another bass. Got him in.. and guess what was sticking out of his throat? My first Hook and Senko! I could only see the very tip of the Senko so I thought.. oh rats.. the hook is in the gut and this bass is toast.. but it pulled right out hook and all... it was rigged weedless and I didn't get a good hook set I guess.. And so he is still swimming!

Can't believe he would even feed after a fight and then a hook and Senko in his throat. But sure enough.. 2 senkos.. one in the lip and one in the throat.

I often wonder if you can catch the same fish twice on the same day or if they get so spooked they stop eating.. this suggests that maybe you CAN catch the same fish twice in a day.

I've seen this twice in a matter of an hour or so. I lost a jig to a walleye in Canada only to have a buddy of mine in a different boat not 50 ft. away catch it with my jig in his mouth. Not long after that the other guy in that boat got one of his jigs back the same way!

Honestly a senko is the only lure that Ive ever had a bass get hooked, get off and hit the lure again and again. Ive had bass take about 5 swipes at a buzzbait but never rehooked em after fighting them. The Senko is probably the most signifigant innovation in bass fishing in my lifetime.
