Matt Johnson
Either I'm using the slipknots that come in the Ice Buster Bobber package or I'm using JR's, and both seem to work just fine for me. I haven't noticed a difference between JR's slipknots and other brands. I'm not sure if there's a difference in material or whatnot, maybe there is...Good Fishin,Matt Johnson
hanson
frabillfisher-What kind of line are using? I have a horrible time keeping any brand of slip bobber knots on Fireline. I believe some of, if not most of, the other superlines have this problem also
BDR
I have not had any unusual problems. They all loosen up somewhat after time. Like Hanson said the super lines are just too slippery for any slipknot. Jr's was a pioneer in the string slip knot industry here in the US. Many string slip knots on the market is distributed by JR's. Many are packaged under different names by other manufactures. But most are made in the same factory. With millions bieng ordered at a time there may be e few bad ones. but with the repeat orders they get I don't see a problem with quality. The Grebe
There are a couple of different materials that those knots are made of, but I hav'nt found that it has made much difference...the knots are just a little differnt in size.I have found that when I get a loose knot, or it starts to unravel, the culprit behind the problem is usually me!I have started cinching the knots really tight, right from the start, so much so, that sometimes the line and/or the knot has to be wet to move it. After a time or two of adjusting, whereby you might have to move it back and forth a little until it gives, it will slide for adjusting depth, but otherwise stay in place, unless you snag it on an eye or something. Northlander
My JR's slip bobber stops have worked as good as most others I have used. I found that if I keep about 1/2" tags on both ends its easier to re tighten and adjust depth.

Jarrod32
I've found that they hold better if you use two slip-knots together...they will even tend to hold on the superlines.
FishingPro
I used to use powerpro and with one knot it always slipped but two would hold for acouple of fish, got sick of moveing the knot all the time so i went back to mono and had no troubles
