Eagle Lake Ontario, 1983

Mary Janovsky of Le Center, Minnesota had her hands full of

fish, but she was all smiles. Her prize was this 42 pound 5 ounce

Ontario Muskie that she caught on a Hawg Wobbler Lure in the fall

of 1983. The huge fish measured 52 1/2 inches long, 23 1/2 inches in

girth, and earned her a 3rd place finish in the 1983 Molson Fishing

Contest in Ontario. Congratulations to a beautiful gal on the capture

of a beautiful fish!

Your going to have to fish pretty hard to top that monster. Did she have the fish mounted?

Yeah she did get it mounted. I doubt I will ever top it. We were fishing Eagle a few years later, I was either 10, 11, or 12, I was casting a bucktail and mom was casting her good ole hawg wobbler. On one of the casts I had a nice Ski following. It just so happened that as I had the fish up to the boat mom was retrieving her bait up to the boat and the fish turned away from mine and smacked hers. That fish was a mid to upper 40" fish if I remember right.
