Camping Trip

I was wondering what some misc things i should bring with me on a three night camping trip would be. Like when your set up and you say to yourself boy i wish i would have brought that with. Just dont want to forget something little that would come in handy later. We will be fishing/camping on a small lake with only a crapper so any misc items that fit that fit that criteria would be awsome!!! Thanks!

To make the job a little easier for you, do a web search for "Camping list". You will find sites that give you a complete printable list of all basics and some extras. Just a matter of how much of it you want to haul. 3 of us on a 4 day fishing trip can fill a PU (w/topper) plus plenty of light weight stuff in the boat. Have fun!

I'm not sure if you've already got these or not, but my girlfriend and I bought head lamps last year and couldn't imagine camping without them. They are so handy at night.

Good idea on the list. Basic categories include Shelter, food, fishing gear, fire, knife, flashlight, etc, etc. I start by writing things down well in advance and keep checking the list as you will keep thinking of things you forgot. Imagine yourself there and mentally step through your activities. I ALWAYS bring too much stuff.

I spend all summer on the road camping from alaska to minnesota, to the west coast then back to alaska. The one thing I could never go without again is baby wipes. They can be used to clean dishes, provide a quick shower, clean toliet seats etc...
